The castle of Cinzano includes the park, the parish church and the buildings that once constituted its relevance. The result of various transformations also collects the history and events of some well-known families subalpine. In the castle there were the archives of four important families: Biandrate di San Giorgio, Trino line, Tizzone di Desana, Della Rovere di Cinzano, Della Chiesa di Roddi (and Cinzano).
From an inventory of the castle of Cinzano dating back to the last years of the last century were in fact present "in the room for the archives in the east: 191 volumes in parchment containing family cards" as well as "three new" arranged in "2 shelves 5 floors". This remarkable collection of papers was ordered in the 18th century and the archivist transcribed and rearranged all the most important documents of the archive. This material, however, was dispersed for various reasons. In part it ended at the State Archives of Turin and in a small part at the Library of the Province of Turin.
The part of documents merged into the Library of the Province today Metropolitan City of Turin is enclosed in four bunches, some not complete and in a ponderous volume containing copies of acts relating to the feudatories of the castle of Cinzano or Biandrate di San Giorgio, Tizzone di Desana, Della Rovere di Cinzano, Della Chiesa di Roddi.
The bouquet related to the Biandrate family of San Giorgio is one of the most important both for the content and the number of documents and contains in fact more than 40 instruments almost all in parchment and dated from 1242 to 1666.
In this bouquet, moreover, are contained some authentic extracts of investitures dated between 1242 and 1325.
Also important is the collection of membranacei documents (1360 - 1636) contained in the bunch Tizzone - Bubbles and brief and concerning some characters of the Tizzone family, in particular Francesco Tizzone Prior of San Giovanni di Lanerio.
In the bunch called Della Chiesa di Roddi - Military and court charges there are some numbered acts relating to the conferral of military and court office of the King of Sardinia to various characters of the family (1745 - 1783). The collection, unfortunately, is not complete.
In the Bouquet related to: "Della Chiesa di Roddi - Prove di nobiltà" there are some documents of various interest related to the family, and there's also a file that contains a series of about 30 color drawings, of the coats of arms of those families related to the Della Chiesa and dating back to the 17th century.
Finally, the volume Acts relating to the fief of Cinzano contains a copy of some acts relating to the feud of Cinzano and the families who held jurisdiction from 1452 to 1693.
